Hello! I’m David Lyons, the sailor behind barcosavela.com. I’ve been sailing since I was 19, which means I’ve spent almost 30 years riding the waves. Now, at 48, I’m still as passionate about sailing as I was on day one, and I don’t plan on stopping! <\/p>

Every Saturday you’ll find me participating in regattas in Empuriabrava with my beloved Club Golfus and with my colleague \u00c0lex’s sailboat, the “Clic”. There’s nothing like the thrill of a good regatta to keep the spirit young and the heart beating strong. Sailing is my gym, my therapy, and my inexhaustible source of epic stories. <\/p>

I have sailed all over the Mediterranean, exploring the eastern Spanish coast, the idyllic Balearic Islands, historic Corsica, charming Sardinia, and the picturesque south of France. Each place has its own charm and each journey has been an unforgettable adventure. <\/p>

But what I really love is sailing at night. There’s something incredibly romantic about gliding over the water under a starry sky.
