Palma de Mallorca, June 27, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 The second day of the Superyacht Cup Palma 2025<\/strong> did not disappoint, offering an intense competition marked by a stronger and more constant breeze, which allowed the fleet to sail at full speed on a five-section, 23 nautical mile course around the bay of Palma.<\/p>\n

Linnea Aurora, unexpected star in Class A<\/h2>\n

After overcoming the technical problems of the first day, the Linnea Aurora<\/strong>, a spectacular Hoek Truly Classic 128, led the start and achieved its first victory in Class A in its competitive debut.
\nThe 39-meter schooner had to request a brief postponement after being held up by a ship in the port of Palma, but finally crossed the starting line just seconds after the new assigned time.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur first goal was to reach the starting line, and the second, to win. With teamwork and good conditions, we have achieved it. It is a completely new boat, so we are very happy to have had a great day. We will try to repeat it tomorrow,\u201d commented Magnus Woxen, tactician of Linnea Aurora.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In the Class A general classification<\/strong>, Linnea Aurora is tied in third position with Vijonara, another Hoek Truly Classic.
\nCervo<\/strong>, winner of the first day, finished third today and shares the lead with Gelliceaux<\/strong>, the Southern Wind designed by Farr that was again second.<\/p>\n

Maximum equality in Class B<\/h2>\n

In Class B, the excitement has been at its peak.
\nThe Baltic 68 Caf\u00e9 Racer Open Season<\/strong> repeated its victory, although this time with just 25 seconds ahead of the Wally 80 Rose<\/strong>, which in turn kept the other Caf\u00e9 Racer, Ganesha, at bay by only eight seconds.
\nPink Gin Verde overtook Scorpione Hormar and both are tied in fourth place, while the Y8 Sveam closed the classification.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been a very close day and the team has worked hard for every maneuver. The first windward leg was long and complicated due to the effect of the coast, but we knew how to manage it,\u201d explained Diego Fructuoso, tactician of Rose.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The west breeze, which started with 12-16 knots and rose to 18 knots during the course, posed an additional challenge for all the crews and brought spectacle to the day.<\/p>\n

Festive atmosphere and expectations for the final<\/h2>\n

The day closed with the traditional North Sails Happy Hour on the pontoon, continuing the festive atmosphere after the barbecue for owners organized the night before by St. Regis Mardavall. <\/p>\n

Tomorrow, Saturday, will be the final day of the Superyacht Cup Palma 2025<\/strong>, where everything is to be decided. A new solid breeze is expected for the last regatta, scheduled for 12:00 h.
\nThe Superyacht Cup Palma awards ceremony, sponsored by RSB Rigging Solutions on its 20th anniversary, will be at 18:00 h in the SYC tent. <\/p>\n
